Sir,

You obtain the goods on payment of duty and export the same under claim of rebate. There is no bar for such procedure. Please go through Chapter 8 of CBEC manual of Departmental Instructions available in http://www.cbec.gov.in

Dear Friend,

If you approach your jurisdictional Maritime Commissioner and explain the situation, you may get the Bond executed and use the same for procurement of goods for export under CT1 from the manufacturer. It all depends on your liasion and influencing capabilities.

As an alternative, you can also procure the goods on payment of duty and claim for rebate under Rule 18 as stated by Shri. Govindarajan sir.

However, since you are a Merchant exporter, claiming rebate should be in terma of Board circular No. 294/97-CX dated 25.01.1997 which is little cumbersome and difficult to get the rebate

Best Regards

Suryanarayana
