CST Purchase or Sales

RITENDRA MALLICK

Who can sales/purchase inter-state to/from Uttarakhand state @ 1% ? If so,which for is to be issued against such 1% sales/purchase?

Interstate concessional CST rate applies lower than state VAT; supplier charges concessional rate and Form C is required. Interstate supplies may attract a concessional CST rate lower than the intra state VAT rate; where the intra state rate is lower, the supplier charges that lower rate for interstate sales. Form C is required from the purchaser to establish the interstate sale and secure concessional CST treatment. (AI Summary)

Sir, the rate for CST sale /purchase is 2%. If the product attracts 5% in a particular State then under Interstate transaction the concesaional rate is 2% instead of 5%. And if the product attracts 1% then the supplier will charge 1% and not 2%. However Form C is essential to establish the interstate sale. Thanks.
