VAT credit taken.

MAYUR BHIRUD

Dear Experts,

We are manufacturing pharmaceutical products. can we take VAT credit on purchases of chemicals for Effluent Treatment. Please allow your valuable guidance.

VAT credit eligibility depends on inclusion of input chemicals in the authorised Input List; amend list to claim credit. Claiming VAT credit on chemicals for effluent treatment requires those chemicals to be included in the authorised Input List or schedule; if listed, VAT credit may be claimed, and if not listed the registrant must follow the amendment procedure via the official portal to include the chemical before claiming the credit. PARTHASARATHY V on Oct 22, 2015

Pl check with the VAT official website under your login id under Know Your Eligible Forms Commodities List.

If your input chemicals is under the Input List / schedule you can take the VAT Credit, otherwise, pl make amendment in the said list, the required chemical as Input and after amendment you can take VAT Credit.
