Can anybody please give me larity on the subject.

We have made a few foreign remittances during 2009-10 FY. for which FY assessment was already completed last year. recently we have received a notice from IT Dept asking about info relating to those foreign remittances and stand we took on TDS part. my Query is

1. can dept issue notices relating to those FY for which AY is completed

2. upto which year dept can issue notice relating to any particular Financial year.
