Manufacturer Explores Third-Country Movement: Importing Spares from China, Exporting to Europe Without Landing in India A manufacturer-exporter in Gujarat is exploring the legality of importing spares from China and directly exporting them to Europe without the goods landing in India. This process, known as third-country movement, involves using a switch Bill of Lading, which is legal and allows foreign exchange to be received in India. There is no customs duty in India since the goods do not enter the country, but duties may apply in Europe. An experienced logistics professional confirms the legality and provides guidance on the process. (AI Summary)
