Consolidated GRN and CENVAT against for bulk quantity of duty paid goods received in a day- reg

vinay wakde

We are receiving Excise duty paid Raw material through trucks. The consignments received by us per day are around 20 to 30 trucks. kindly let us know whether we have to prepare GRN (goods Receipt Note) consignment wise separately and also have to take CENVAT credit separately against each and every duty paying document received by us or single GRN per day can be prepared for consolidated quantity received in a day and accordingly take consolidated CENVAT credit based on Annexure to the duty paying documents.

Regards,

VINAY

Company Seeks Clarity on Consolidating GRNs and CENVAT Credit for Daily Raw Material Consignments A company inquires about processing excise duty-paid raw materials received daily in 20 to 30 truck consignments. They ask whether to prepare separate Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) and take CENVAT credit for each consignment or consolidate them daily. One respondent suggests consolidating GRNs but maintaining individual credits for compliance with CCR and Annexure 10. Another advises preparing separate GRNs for each vehicle to avoid future issues, particularly in handling rejections. (AI Summary)
