Free Issue Supply of Import Goods Directly from Port

Arti Gupta

Sir/Madame,

We have cleared goods from the Customs under the Project Import and want to FREE ISSUE the material to the vendor for the job work. After the completion of work at the vendor's factory the material will be directly dispatched to the site.

Kindly help me with following queries:

1) As the goods are cleared under Project Import, so do I need any documentation from the Customs for dispatching the material to the Vendor as Free Issue for the Job Work?

2)Documentation I will have to carry out with Excise Authorities for the Job Work.

Thanks in advance.

Guidance on Documentation for Dispatching Imported Goods for Job Work and Site Delivery Under Project Import A company inquired about the necessary documentation for dispatching imported goods, cleared under Project Import, to a vendor for job work and subsequent dispatch to a site. They asked if they needed customs documentation and what excise documentation was required. The response advised informing the State VAT Authority (if not registered), Customs Authority, and Central Excise Department in advance. A job-work challan can be used, and post-job work, information must be provided to Customs for reconciliation. Obtaining necessary permissions in advance was recommended to prevent future issues.
