Can a Company Avail CENVAT Credit for Service Tax on Clearing, Forwarding, and GTA Services? A company registered with excise has imported capital goods and paid for clearing, forwarding, and GTA services. The query seeks clarification on whether they can avail CENVAT credit for the service tax paid on these services. Three responses confirm that the company can avail the CENVAT credit for these services. However, for GTA services, it is advised that the company ensures both the payment to the transporter and the associated service tax are paid before claiming the credit. (AI Summary)
