tax deducted at source

Nitish Miglani

if someone deduct my tax deducted at source as per our rent agreement for last 2 years and not deposited the same to government. so what is the process to claim my deducted TDS.

Individual Faces TDS Issues: Deductor Fails to Deposit; Options Include Recovery, Pressure, or Reporting for Resolution. An individual raised a query about tax deducted at source (TDS) not being deposited by the deductor as per a rent agreement for the past two years. One response indicated that without the deposit and filing, no deduction can be claimed, but the deductor faces penalties and prosecution. Another response advised that the tax department would not credit the TDS, suggesting the individual should either recover the amount from the deductor or pressure them to comply by threatening to report the issue to the tax department.
