Dear sir,
We are following up with the commercial Tax department for Form F & Form C in Tamil Nadu for the past 6 months.
We met Joint Commissioner also. They said they are enquiring the other division to find out the forms availability. we have to issue lot of forms for the period before October 2012 to branches and Supplier in other states.
They are pressurizing for the forms as their department sent the notice to them. Other wise we have to pay differential tax with interest.
Kindly advice for future course of action if any.
Thanking you in advance.
Swaminathan
Non-availability of CST forms can trigger differential tax liability; obtain written departmental confirmation and share with suppliers. Non-availability of CST Forms (Form F and Form C) from the Tamil Nadu tax office prevented furnishing required inter state documentation for supplies before October 2012, risking differential tax and interest. The recommended course is to obtain written confirmation from the TN VAT department about form unavailability and circulate that confirmation to suppliers and branches to document reliance on departmental unavailability.
