TIME LIMIT TO GET PROOF OF EXPORT

Proof of export: merchant exporter must furnish acknowledged export documentation to central excise within the prescribed period.
The merchant exporter, having executed a bond, is liable to submit proof of export to Central Excise within a prescribed period measured from the ARE-1 acknowledgement; the acknowledged export documentation is provided to the manufacturer exporter, who then files it with the concerned Central Excise department. A contrasting view notes a general one-year window for submitting export proof to Central Excise and Customs. (AI Summary)

Dear Experts,

We have dispatched goods against CT-1. What are the time limit for getting proof of export from merchant exporter?.

The Merchant Exporter is liable to submit the proof of export to the Central Excise Department since the merchant exporter had executed the bond.  This proof of export must be submitted with in 180 days from the date of ARE-1

The acknowledged copy the proof of export would be submitted by the Merchant Export to Manufacturer exporter and inturn manufacture exporter would submit it to the concerned central excise department.
