of <h1>Board Sets Guidelines for Processing 2009-10 Tax Returns: TDS Claims Up to Rs. 3 Lakh Accepted with Conditions.</h1> The Board has issued instructions to address the backlog of income tax return processing for the assessment year 2009-10. For returns filed using ITR-1 and ITR-2 forms, if the total TDS claim is up to Rs. 3 lakh and the refund is up to Rs. 25,000, the TDS claim will be accepted during processing. For other forms, the same limits apply, and there must be a 10% match of the TDS amount claimed for acceptance. In all other cases, TDS credit will be granted after verification.
