of <h1>New public notice: Online procedure for filing bill of entry amendment requests, automated approvals and five approval scenarios</h1> Public notice clarifies procedures for filing and processing bill of entry amendment requests: importers/customs brokers must file amendments online via the common electronic portal or at port service centres and upload supporting documents in e-Sanchit; certain additions (e.g., bill of lading in advance BEs) receive automated approval, while other amendments require proper officer approval with five scenarios based on timing and revenue impact (before assessment, after assessment/pre-OOC affecting revenue, after assessment/pre-OOC not affecting revenue, after OOC requiring PAG approval, and RMS cases). Conversions between home consumption and warehousing need e-office PAG approval; no manual pre-approval is required; amendments subject to investigative holds need agency consent. The notice takes immediate effect and supersedes prior local orders.
