of <h1>SEBI Enhances Mutual Fund Transparency: New Disclosure Rules and Risk-O-Meter Color Scheme Effective December 5, 2024.</h1> The circular issued by SEBI mandates enhanced disclosure requirements for mutual funds to improve transparency and investor understanding. Mutual funds must separately disclose expenses, half-yearly returns, and yields for direct and regular plans. A standardized format for these disclosures will be developed. Additionally, the risk-o-meter, which indicates the risk level of mutual fund schemes, will now include a color scheme to visually represent risk levels from low to very high. Any changes in the risk-o-meter must be communicated to unitholders through notices and digital communication. These provisions take effect on December 5, 2024.
