of <h1>CGST Act Update: Superintendent of Central Tax Now Designated for Section 30 and Certain Rules Functions.</h1> The circular amends Circular No. 1/1/2017 regarding the designation of the proper officer for specific provisions under the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Due to the transition of GST back-office operations to GSTN BO, the Board has decided that the functions related to section 30 and certain rules of the CGST Rules will now be assigned to the Superintendent of Central Tax instead of Assistant or Deputy Commissioners or Directors. A revised table detailing these changes is provided, and authorities are requested to issue trade notices to disseminate this information. Any implementation issues should be reported to the Board.
