of <h1>India Implements Faceless Customs Assessment Nationwide by October 31, 2020, with 11 National Assessment Centres.</h1> Turant Customs has announced the nationwide implementation of Faceless Assessment for all imported goods across all Indian ports by October 31, 2020. This initiative, guided by CBIC advisories, involves the establishment of 11 National Assessment Centres (NACs) and the designation of specific Customs sites for Faceless Assessment. New roles and functionalities have been introduced in the ICES system to facilitate this process, including VAO, VDC, and VDN roles for officers involved. The system also includes monitoring tools and provisions for handling exceptional cases. The phased roll-out will begin with groups and zones listed for Phase III from September 15, 2020.
