Dealers are required to mark invoices accordingly, but due to existing stocks of old stationery, they are permitted to use these until 31.3.97, provided they mark invoices using a rubber stamp or typewriter. From 1.4.97, dealers must use pre-printed stationery with the required markings. This decision aims to alleviate the financial burden of reprinting on assessees.
