CDSCO Updates Policy: No Objection Certificate Exemption for Drug Exports Now Applies to All Countries with Valid Licenses.
Exporters and custom brokers are informed that the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) has updated its policy regarding the requirement of a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for exporting drugs, medical devices, and cosmetics. Previously, an NOC was not needed for exports to the USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, and the European Union. Now, this exemption extends to all countries if the shipping bills are filed by the manufacturer with a valid license under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and Rules. Any issues should be reported to the Deputy/Assistant Commissioner in charge of Appraising Main (Export).
