of <h1>Centralized Register to Track ATA Carnet Imports; Submit Re-export Proof in 6 Months to Avoid Duties.</h1> Goods imported under the ATA Carnet are exempt from duty as per Notification No. 157/1990. A centralized register will now track these imports to ensure timely re-export. Importers must submit proof of re-export within six months to avoid duty charges. The register will record details such as importer name, carnet number, goods description, and export details. Examination of consignments will occur at Container Freight Stations (CFS) only after data entry in the register. Any issues with this process should be reported to the Commissioner of Customs (Import) at Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House.
