of <h1>FSSAI Streamlines Import Process: Customs Gains Online Access to NOCs/NCCs via FICS for Faster Clearance.</h1> The circular addresses the process for receiving No Objection Certificates (NOCs) and Non-Conformity Certificates (NCCs) for import consignments from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). Previously, these certificates were delivered manually to the Customs office. To expedite this process, FSSAI agreed to provide Customs with a login ID for the Food Import Clearance System (FICS), allowing direct online access to NOCs/NCCs. Customs Brokers and Importers registered with FSSAI can also access FICS for import clearance. The circular mandates daily downloading and dissemination of NOCs/NCCs to relevant customs groups and ports via email. Any issues should be reported to the Commissioner of Customs.
