India Removes 'No Objection Certificate' Requirement for Drug Exports to USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, EU from 2016.
The Government of India, through the Office of the Principal Commissioner of Customs in Kolkata, announced that a 'No Objection Certificate' from the Assistant Drugs Controller is no longer required for export consignments to the USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, and the European Union, effective January 1, 2016. This decision aims to simplify drug regulatory practices concerning the export of drugs, medical devices, and cosmetics. Exporters must still comply with the regulatory requirements of the importing countries. Any difficulties encountered should be reported to the Commissioner of Customs (Port) at the Custom House in Kolkata.
