of <h1>DGFT Clarifies Import Rules for Mining Trucks Under EPCG: Must Be Registered, Mining-Only Use, No Public Roads.</h1> The circular from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade clarifies the import regulations for trucks, tippers, dumpers, and related spares under the Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) Scheme for the mining sector. These vehicles must be registered to the authorization holder and used solely for mining activities, not as public vehicles or on public roads. Import applications will be reviewed in consultation with the Department of Heavy Industry. The import of railway wagons and tractors under the EPCG Scheme is prohibited, and only the mining sector is permitted to import these vehicles and spares.
