of <h1>Amendments to 1997-2002 Export & Import Handbook: Updated Product Descriptions & DEPB Rates for Engineering & Chemical Products.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has announced amendments to the Handbook of Procedures, Vol. I, 1997-2002, under the Export and Import Policy. Changes include updating the description of export products in Appendix-28A. For engineering products, carbon steel submerged arc welded pipes and hot-formed steel bends are specified by API/ASTM grades. Chemical products now include specific formulations like injections, syrups, tablets, and intravenous infusions, with DEPB rates applicable as per Policy Circular No: 20. Additionally, a corrigendum corrects the description of certain iron castings in the engineering product group. These amendments aim to clarify export product classifications.
