<h1>Export of exhibition goods abroad without prior RBI approval; authorised dealers may approve GR forms, sale and repatriation rules</h1> Residents may export goods for exhibition or display-cum-sale abroad without prior RBI approval; operative effect: authorised dealers are authorised to approve GR forms for such exports subject to specified conditions. Unsold exhibits may be sold abroad, including at discounted values, or gifted up to US$5,000 per exporter per exhibition; operative effect: exporters must produce the relative Bill of Entry within one month of re-import, repatriate sale proceeds in accordance with FEMA (Realisation, Repatriation and Surrender of Foreign Exchange) Regulations, 2000, and report disposal and repatriation to the authorised dealer. Transactions approved by authorised dealers are subject to 100% internal audit. (RBI)
