The DEPB Committee decided that formulations such as tablets, syrups, or injections are covered only under a specific entry (S.No.37) in the DEPB Rate Schedule, eligible for 75% of the DEPB rate for the relevant bulk drug. For example, Enalapril Maleate tablets are covered under one entry, while Erythromycin BP 88 formulations are not and should be listed under S.No.37 for the reduced rate. This decision is to be uniformly applied by customs officers and staff.
