The new requirements mandate barcoding at three packaging levels: primary, secondary, and tertiary, each with specific details and timelines-tertiary by October 1, 2011, secondary by January 1, 2012, and primary by July 1, 2012. Exporters must maintain serialized records for six months post-expiry, and a central portal will be established for tracking. If importing countries have specific requirements, exporters may comply with those instead. Authentication features will be integrated later.
