of <h1>New Circular Sets 30-Day Clearance Rule for Imports, Shift Hours, and Exam Procedures Under Customs Law</h1> The circular mandates measures to reduce congestion and expedite clearance of import and export goods at Air Cargo Complexes. Imported goods not cleared within 30 days may be disposed of after notice and officer approval, with confiscation applicable for prohibited items under customs law. Confiscated goods may be moved to customs warehouses or destroyed if valueless. Import cargo sheds are to operate in two shifts from 10 AM to 10 PM daily. For export cargo, only randomly selected portions of consignments will be held for examination, allowing the remainder to move to bonded areas promptly. Customs authorities will continue paying 50% of normal license fees for space occupied in passenger and cargo complexes until further decisions. Recipients are instructed to acknowledge and implement these directives immediately.
