Order - Unsigned order of Collector attested by Superintendent The appeal was made against an order dated 24-2-94 of the Collector of Central Excise & Customs, Surat, which was passed in adjudication of a show cause notice dated 1-8-91. The order and show cause notice did not bear the signature of the Collector. The appellant argued that the notice without the Collector's signature was invalid, citing relevant case law. The Tribunal observed that similar cases had been accepted in the past and decided to refer the matter to a Larger Bench for consideration.
