Ganeshan Kalyani
Stay Updated on GST Changes: Use CBIC, State Sites, and Subscribe to Tax Platforms for Comprehensive Insights The article discusses various sources for staying updated on GST-related changes, including notifications, circulars, and court judgments. It suggests using the CBIC website for central notifications and individual state websites for advance rulings. For comprehensive updates, subscribing to specialized services like Taxmanagementindia.com, Taxguru, Taxindiaonline, and Taxongo.com is recommended. These platforms offer extensive repositories of tax-related documents and updates, often requiring a subscription fee. They also provide newsletters and discussion forums for professionals to share insights. The article emphasizes the efficiency and time-saving benefits of using these resources for GST updates. (AI Summary)

Needless to mention that there are number of Notifications, Circular, Advance ruling, High Court judgments, Supreme Court Cases etc. These are published so as to bring changes to the GST Act and Rules. In case of ambiguity in the interpretation of law, the High Court and Supreme Court cases are also referred. There is still doubt on a particular provision in which case an advance ruling is sought from the department.

One may attempt to keep track of the notifications, circulars by referring to CBIC website www.cbic.gov.in. Since notification, circulars published by the Central Government is replicated by each States and published in their respective GST website one may prefer not to refer GST website of all States. However, one may refer GST website of each States in India to at least refer advance rulings passed by that GST Authority. One may refer website of High Court of each State to find the judgment passed by the Court of that State. One may refer website of Supreme Court to get a copy of landmark judgment. One may also find the judgments in Indiankanoon wesbsite for free. One may also find the judgments in the Google search.

In the busiest work schedule it becomes difficult for anybody to keep a track of all the amendments made to GST law / rules.
