Employees Must Declare Hometown Upon Appointment; Changes Allowed Once with Proof Under Regulation 21 of IBBI Rules
Regulation 21 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (Employees' Service) Regulations, 2017, mandates that every employee must declare their hometown in writing upon appointment. If the declared hometown is not the employee's place of birth, they must provide satisfactory evidence to the Board. An employee may request to change their declared hometown, but only if they can prove the change is bona fide. However, such a change is permitted only once during the employee's entire service tenure.
