Delhi VAT Rule 25: Process for Security Forfeiture and Deficiency Addressed in Forms DVAT-14 and DVAT-15 Explained
Section 25 of the Delhi Value Added Tax Rules, 2005, outlines the process for the forfeiture of security. If the Commissioner deems a security insufficient or proposes its forfeiture, a notice is issued in Form DVAT-14. If the response is unsatisfactory, an order in Form DVAT-15 is issued to forfeit the security and address any deficiency. Non-cash securities require payment of the forfeited amount in cash. If unpaid, the Commissioner may request the Collector to recover the amount as land revenue arrears. Pledged goods may be sold, and deficiencies must be addressed within fifteen days using approved forms.
