of <h1>Regulation 9: Procedure for Destroying Narcotic Substances Requires Form-I Submission and Committee Oversight Within 30 Days</h1> Regulation 9 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Regulation of Controlled Substances) Order, 2013 outlines the procedure for destroying controlled substances listed in Schedule-A. Individuals seeking to destroy such substances must submit an application in Form-I to the relevant Zonal Director of the Narcotics Control Bureau. Upon receipt, the Zonal Director has thirty days to appoint a committee, including a Gazetted Officer, a Superintendent of Central Excise, and a representative from the applicant, to oversee the destruction. The destruction must occur within thirty days of the committee's appointment, within the jurisdiction specified in the Appendix.
