Procedure for movement of containerized import cargo form Port Terminal to different Container Freight Stations (CFSs) under Kolkata (Port) - Implementation of CFS Gate Module under ICES Version 1.5.

....Main Line Operators (MLO), Importers, Customs Brokers, CFS operators, Kolkata Port Trust and Stake Holders is drawn to Public Notice Nos. 07/2018 dated 23/01/2018, 09/2018 dated 14/02/2018 and 21/2018 dated 09/03/2018 on the subject matter. After the implementation of the CFS Gate Module w.e.f. 18/03/2018 it has come to notice that there are still some confusions among the stake holders like CFS operators, MLO's and Shipping Lines with regard to generation of container movement number and movements of containers from Port Terminal to CFSs. The various issues have been examined and following are the clarifications given for proper movement of containers to CFSs: 1).CFS-Code and Bond Number are not mentioned in the IGM against....

Since, prior to 18/03/2018, CFS gate Module was not fully implemented GATE-Out & GATE-In of such containers were not done in the System which resulted in non- re-crediting of Bond amounts. To regularise such cases, AC-Docks has ordered Preventive Officers at the Docks & CFSs to give notional GATE-Out & Gate-In in the ICES referring to custodian's records. However, it has come to notice that that in some cases containers against which one CFS Code had been given have been moved to another CFS irregularly.
