....The Central Government issued a notification under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, formally establishing a Special Economic Zone exclusively for electronic components manufacturing at Itigatti Village, Dharwad district, Karnataka. The notification covers 11.549 hectares across multiple survey numbers, following the developer's proposal under section 3 and subsequent letter of approval granted on 16th June, 2025. An Approval Committee was constituted under section 13, comprising the Development Commissioner as Chairperson and seven ex officio members from various government departments including Commerce, Foreign Trade, Customs, Income Tax, Banking, and State Government representatives. The SEZ was designated as an Inland Container Depot under the Customs Act, 1962, effective 23rd June, 2025.....
