Exemption limit for long-term capital gains on financial assets increased from Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 1.25 lakh per annum. Listed financial assets held for over a year classified as long-term, unlisted financial assets and non-financial assets require two-year holding period. Unlisted bonds, debentures, debt mutual funds, and market-linked debentures taxed at applicable rates regardless of holding duration.....
