The petitioner submitted for waiver of interest, resorting to rule 117A(iv) and (v) of the Income-tax Rules, 1962. This petition came to be rejected by the order dated July 12, 1989 (exhibit P4), passed by the Assistant Commissioner of Income-tax, Cannanore, stating that the reasons do not cover the aspects under rule 117A.
