A certificate of registration under the Societies Registration Act No. XXI of 1860 (hereinafter referred to as "the Societies Act"), was issued to the petitioner on September 11, 1978, in the name of Marie Stopes Society. The name of the petitioner-society was changed to Parivar Seva Sanstha and the certificate of registration under the Societies Act was granted thereto on November 24, 1982.
