....nd in supersession of Public Notice No. 38/(PN)/92-97 dated the 12th August, 1992 and as amended from time to time, Director General of Foreign Trade hereby notifies the policy for the Import of cinematograph films and Other (including film on Video tape, Compact Video disc, Laser Video discs or Digital Video discs) effective from 1.4.1997, as under:- (i) Imports, of cinematograph feature films and Other (including film on Video tape, Compact Video disc, Laser Video discs or Digital Video discs) may be made without a licence by the National Film Archive of India, Film and Television Institute of India, National Centre of Films for Children & Young People and Directorate of Film Festivals Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute.
