Initially, these goods were subject to an Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) of 28%, and a Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) and State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) or Union Territory Goods and Services Tax (UTGST) each at 14%. However, this classification was omitted following a notification dated November 14, 2017, effective from November 15, 2017.
