<title>Inquiry as to truth of information</title>
    <link>https://www.taxtmi.com/acts?id=42321</link>
<description>An inquiry into the truth of information must be conducted by the Magistrate when a relevant order is read or a person appears under summons or warrant; the Magistrate may take further evidence and, for recorded reasons, require execution of a bond or bail bond for keeping the peace or good behaviour, detaining the person until bond execution or inquiry conclusion. Bond conditions cannot be more onerous than the original order, and habitual or dangerous character may be proved by general repute. The Magistrate may hold joint or separate inquiries, and the inquiry is subject to a time limitation after which proceedings terminate unless special reasons are recorded, with judicial review of continuance available.</description>
