    <description>If an arrested person brought before an Executive Magistrate, District Superintendent of Police or Commissioner appears to be the person named in the warrant, the officer shall direct removal in custody to the issuing court; if the offence is bailable and the person is willing to furnish bail or the warrant contains an endorsed direction for security, the officer shall take the bail bond or security and forward it to the issuing court. For non-bailable offences, an appropriate district judicial authority may, on consideration of the relevant information and documents, release the person on bail subject to procedural limits. Police may take security under the statutory provision authorizing it.</description>
