<description>The RBI has withdrawn the Rs.2000 denomination from circulation but it continues as legal tender; banks and designated RBI Issue Departments will accept deposits and exchanges until the announced deadline. Deposits into accounts are allowed without restriction subject to KYC and other statutory requirements. Exchange is operationally limited per transaction and Business Correspondents may exchange smaller daily amounts for account holders; non-account holders can also exchange within the transaction limit.
