    <description>Contempt jurisdiction under Article 215 must still comply with the procedure prescribed by law and the requirements of natural justice. Where persons were proceeded against and punished on the same day without the safeguards required by the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 and the applicable High Court Rules, the contempt order could not stand. The proceedings were therefore remitted to the principal seat of the Allahabad High Court for fresh disposal by a Bench nominated by the Chief Justice, with the prescribed procedure under Chapter XXXV-E of the High Court Rules to be followed expeditiously.</description>
