    <title>1986 (8) TMI 450 - MADRAS HIGH COURT</title>
    <link>https://www.taxtmi.com/caselaws?id=199139</link>
<description>On annulment of insolvency adjudication, the insolvent&#039;s share in joint family property did not automatically revest in him where the insolvency court had directed transfer of the assets to the guarantor; the transferred share therefore remained the insolvent&#039;s branch. A conveyance executed by the Official Assignee pursuant to the court order was treated as a valid transfer of the insolvent&#039;s entire right, title and interest and was not invalid for want of registration. The plaintiffs were denied any share in the partnership business or an accounting claim, but their entitlement was confined to the limited fractional shares recognised in the family properties and jewels.</description>
