Importation of a luxury bus for exclusive tourist/resort use may be effected under limited concessions or by normal import procedures. Concessional routes include Served From India Scheme for pre designed service vehicles (excluding personal cars/SUVs/MUVs) and the EPCG Scheme for hotels and tourism operators, each subject to foreign exchange eligibility criteria, limits on duty saved, exclusions for vehicle parts, and the requirement that vehicles be registered for tourist use only. Otherwise, standard customs clearance requires submission of IEC, commercial invoice with INCOTERMS, packing list, certificate of origin, technical documents, bill of lading, insurance and freight details, online duty payment, and RTO temporary registration before road use.
