    <description>The Central Government may, after hearing the board, supersede or suspend the board of a specified multi State co operative society for persistent default, negligence, prejudicial acts including fraud or misappropriation, failure to comply with directions, stalemate in board functions, or failure to conduct elections where the board did not requisition or assist the Election Authority; it may appoint administrators to manage affairs for a period not exceeding six months, fix their remuneration payable from society funds, and require administrators to arrange for constitution of a new board under the bye laws, consulting any financial institution to which the society is indebted before acting.</description>
