<title>Joint sitting of both Houses in certain cases</title>
    <link>https://www.taxtmi.com/acts?id=9142</link>
<description>Joint sittings resolve deadlocks on non money Bills when one House rejects a Bill, the Houses finally disagree, or more than six months elapse without passage; the President may notify and summon both Houses, excluding Money Bills. Periods of prorogation or adjournment over four consecutive days do not count toward the six months. After notification, neither House may further proceed until summoned; at the joint sitting a Bill passed by majority of members present and voting is deemed passed by both Houses, subject to narrow limits on admissible amendments and the presiding officer&#039;s final ruling.</description>
