The amendment involves changing the deadline mentioned in the original notification from '15th day of October, 2003' to '1st day of December, 2003.' This amendment is made under the authority granted by clauses (i) and (ii) of section 133 of the Finance Act, 2002. The principal notification was previously amended by Notification No. 61/2003-CENTRAL EXCISE (N.T.) on August 14, 2003. Further amendments are referenced in Notification No. 82/2003-CE(NT), dated November 29, 2003.
