of <h1>Central Government amends Notification No. 58/2003-Central Excise, changing effective date to October 15, 2003.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 58/2003-Central Excise (N.T.), dated July 22, 2003, by substituting the date '15th day of August, 2003' with '15th day of October, 2003.' This amendment is issued under the powers conferred by clauses (i) and (ii) of section 133 of the Finance Act, 2002. Further amendments to this notification are referenced in Notification No. 78/2003-CE(NT), dated October 14, 2003.
