of <h1>CENVAT Credit Rules Amended: Rule 9A Now Covers Goods from Chapters 50-63; Effective Upon Gazette Publication</h1> The Central Government has amended the CENVAT Credit Rules, 2002, under Notification No. 43/2003-CE(N.T.) dated May 12, 2003. The amendment modifies Rule 9A, expanding the coverage from yarn or fabrics under Chapters 50 to 60 to goods under Chapters 50 to 63 of the First Schedule to the Tariff Act. Additionally, the date in sub-rule (4) is changed from May 12, 2003, to May 26, 2003. The amendment takes effect upon publication in the Official Gazette. Further amendments are referenced in Notification No. 46/2003-CE(N.T.) dated May 14, 2003.
